Abstract
Summary The optical rotations of the three isomeric nitrophenylhydrazones of rhamnose and mannose herein recorded do not agree with those which might be expected on the basis of rules found to hold for other classes of optically active position isomers, but the variations appear less erratic than the variations in the rotations previously recorded.
