Abstract
Bis (arninomethy1) disulfide dihydrochloride (2) was hydrogenated to yield bis (aminomethy1) sulfide dihydrochloride (3) and hydrogen sulfide. Similarly, reaction of phthalimidomethyl aminomethyl disulfide hydrochloride (4) wit, h hydrogen and palladium gave N-(mercaptomethy1) phthalimide (S), 3, and hydrogen sulfide.
