Abstract

Irradiation of CPV (CO)~ in the presence of tht (tht= tetrahydrothiophene) affords the complex CpV (CO), tht (l), in which one carbonyl group has been replaced by the thioether ligand. 1 reacts readily with several ligands including 2, 2'-bipyridine (bpy) and pyrrolidine (pyrr), providing a mild-condition pathway to the new derivatives cis-CpV (CO), bpy (2) and CpV (CO), pyrr (3).
