Abstract

Summary The degrees of dissociation of several hexaphenylethanes combining a- naphthyl,@-naphthyl and $-biphenyl radicals have been examined by the magnetic susceptibility method. The dissociations observed are lower than reported in the older literature. The difference in the effect of an CY-and a@-naphthyl group on the degree of dissociation is very marked.
