Abstract

Abstract Common 3-deoxyanthocyanidins and original dicationic flavylium-benzopyrylium derivatives are easily and efficiently synthesized through reactions between the corresponding phenols and aryl ethynyl ketones in the presence of aqueous hexafluorophosphoric acid.
