Abstract

Abstract In the reaction of α-aminoacids with excess NaNO 2 in polyhydrogen fluoridepyridine, stereospecific substitution (ie retention of configuration) is observed with C 6 H 11 CH 2 CHNH 2 COOH, while a stereospecific rearrangment occurs in the case of phenylalanine.
