Abstract

ene (V),(a) Zinc-Acetic Acid Reduction.-One gram of the (morpholinomethyl)-ethylene (V) was dissolved in 20 ml. of acetic acid. To this solution was added a porcelain spatulaful of zinc dust. The resulting mixture was stirred for one minute (heat was generated), after which time it was filtered.
