Abstract

RR OAc R'0-cyanopropionate, two compounds which might be expected to eliminate under the reaction conditions.(b) a,@-Unsaturated Nitriles. These compounds are obtained by treatment of primary allylic nitro compounds with phosphorus trichloride in pyridine at room temperature.
