Abstract

N-sulfinyl-p-toluenesulfonamide (la) reacted with triphenylphosphonium fluorenylides 3a-f on the S= O bond of the-N= S= O group to afford thione S-imide 4 and triphenylphosphine oxide (6), while N-sulfinyl-p-nitroaniline (lb) reacted with the ylide on the N= S bond of the- N= S= O group to give sulfine 5 and p-nitrophenyliminotriphenylphosphorane (7).
