Abstract

Abstract A new triterpenoid saponin was isolated from Pisum sativum and characterized as 3- O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→ 2)-β-d-galactopyranosyl (1→ 2)-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl (1→)]- 22-O-[3′-hydroxy-2′-methyl-5′, 6′-dihydro-4′-pyrone (6′→)]-3β, 22β, 24- trihydroxyolean-12-ene.
