Abstract

Poly (ethy1ene glycols)[HO (CH2CH20), H, where n> 31 possess remarkably high activity as catalysts for dehydrohalogenation in organieaqueous hydroxide two-phase systems, relative to classical phase-transfer agents, ie, benzyltriethylammonium chloride and 18-crown-6.
