Abstract

Benzylzirconocene intermediate, which was readily prepared by the reaction of o- alkoxymethylstyrene withCp2Zr'under mild conditions, reacted with allylic halides or phosphates in the presence of catalytic amount of CuCl to give allylated products in good yields.
