Abstract

Consequently, the synthetic strategy towards DAs with extended spacers was changed to another one requiring only a single nucleophilic substitution. This was acom-plished by using the acetylenic tosylates 8 and 9, replacing their tosylate groups with phenoxides, and subsequent oxidative coupling of the obtained acetylenic aryl ethers (Scheme 2).
