Abstract
Extensive studies on the use of chiral binaphthol based crown ethers as hosts for molecular recognition have been carried out as early as 1970. 1 Though the first binaphthyl crown ether was reported in 1973, 2 the m-terphenyl and pyridyl based cyclophanes are not known so far.
