Abstract
Although thiourea'has been used very extensively in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds the use of S-alkylisothioureas for this purpose has been rather limited. Wheeler2 and co-workers have used S-methyl-and Sethylisothioureas in the synthesis of 2- alkylthiopyrimidines.
