Abstract

A stereospecific synthesis of the drug-candidate 1 is described. The synthetic sequence, aimed at accomplishing modularity and cost savings, features a series of organometallic steps to afford stereospecifically the desired trisubstituded olefin active pharmaceutical ingredient.
