Abstract

The chiral 2-substituted 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran structure is present in a number of biologically important compounds and new enantioselective routes to these systems have recently been described. 4, 5, 6 and 7 Herein, our interest 5 and 8 in dihydrobenzofuran synthesis continues, and we report the first enantioselective synthesis of 1, confirming the absolute configuration as methyl (+)-(S)-7-methoxyanodendroate. ...
