Abstract
Preparation of Hexatriene and its Polymers.-Ordinarily, when organic halides are treated with bases, halogen acids are eliminated and ethylene derivatives are formed. In certain cases, however, two molecules of the halide condense in the course of the reaction to form an unsaturated dimer.
