Abstract

Botryodiplodin is a mycotoxin isolated from a strain of Peicillium roqueforti. This toxin exhibits genotoxic properties, it inhibits cell metabolism at the level of replication, transcription and traduction; it induces DNA-protein cross-links. The chemical reaction with amino-pyrimidines and amino-purine has led to 2-aminooxolane compounds. The structure and the stereochemistry of these adducts have been studied.
