Abstract

Results The products formed by the action of lead tetraacetate upon 3, 3, 3- triphenylpropionic acid (Ia) in benzene, chlorobenzene, or acetonitrile solution at temperatures ranging from 80 to 130'are phenyl 3, 3-diphenylacrylate (11), phenyl 3, 3- diphenyl-3-(3, 3, 3-(5)(a) H.
