Abstract
The (ch1oroalkoxy)-chlorosilanes were obtained by two routes. Those in which n= 3 were obtained from the appropriate disubstituted dichlorosilane and trimethylene chlorohydrin with triethylamine as acid acceptor. Compounds in which n= 4 and 5 were prepared smoothly and in good yields by heating the dichlorosilanes with tetrahydrofuran and tetrahydropyran, respectively, to 200'in an autoclave.'At 250, tetrahydro-
