Abstract
The determination of enantiomeric composition by NMR using the addition of a chiral solvating agent (CSA) has been shown 1 to be a valid methodology. After the description of the highly useful 2 Pirkle alcohol, 3 several molecules have been used as CSAs: derivatives of binaphthol 4 or of natural compounds such as quinine 5 and others 6 that form hydrogen bonds or dipolar or π-stacking interactions to generate relatively stable supramolecular entities. ...
