Abstract
4 d12 were obtained from C6D6 i-H2 and C6H6+ D2 with C6H6D6 the major species in both reactions. Both the benzene recovered in the C6H6+ D2 reaction and the hexamethylbenzene ligands in recovered catalyst contained deuterium. Most unexpectedly, the recovered xylenes from a D2 hydrogenation reaction contained large amounts of deuterium and primarily consisted of the do and dl-d6 species with relatively minor ...
