Abstract

Anal. Calcd. for Ca~ H2604: C, 81.01; H, 5.48. Found: C, 80.81; H, 5.79. The dipropionate was saponified by refluxing with 10% alcoholic potassium hydroxide solution which, upon acidification, gave the diphenol, mp 296-298".
