Abstract

The reaction of N-substituted hydrazines with β–dicarbonyl compounds is one of the most useful methods to prepare N-substituted pyrazoles. The main problem with this reaction is that it usually yields the isomeric pyrazoles and the reasons for obtaining them are generally not well understood [1-6].
