Abstract

Photoreactions of several arylalkylcyclopropenethiones (lb-e) have been investigated. The products formed have been rationalized on the basis of a-cleavage as the primary photoprocess. The photochemical a-cleavage is presumed to originate from the lowest excited nr* triplet state.
