Abstract

CdS nanocrystallites prepared by capping with pentafluorothiophenol, 2, 3, 5, 6- tetrafluorothiophenol or 4-fluorothiophenol are characterized as quantum dots by TEM, FTIR, NMR, UV–VIS and fluorescence spectroscopy.
