Summary Trichlorotitanium dialkylamino-alkoxides (2; titanates of N, O-hemiacetals) are generated either from the corresponding lithium alkoxides and titanium tetrachloride (Scheme I) or by addition of trichloro-dialkylamino-titanium to aldehydes.
