Abstract

The pure cis and trans isomers of l-methyl-2-silylcyclohexane, 1-methyl-3-silylcyclohexane and 1-methyl-4-silylcyclohexane have been prepared and characterized. Hydrogenation of the various toly€ triethoxysilanes over Raney nickel followed by lithium aluminum hydride reduction to the free silanes produced principally the cis isomers.
