Abstract

Condensation of triethyl a-ethoxy-y-ketoaconitate with (3-aminocrotononitrile, ethyl (3- aminocrotonate and iminoacetylwetone gave triethyl 5-cyano-6-methyl-2, 3, 4- pyridinetricarboxylate, tetraethyl 8-methyl-2, 3, 4, 5-pyridinetetracarboxylate and triethyl 5- acetyl-6-methyl-2, 3, 4-pyridinetricarboxylate, respectively.
