Abstract

A series of 2-phenylbenzothiazoles has been synthesized either by i) condensation of different aromatic aldehydes with 2-aminothiophenol or ii) condensation of N-(2- chlorophenyl) benzothioamides in KOH catalyzed by potassium fericyanide.
