Abstract
R= CH3, CzHj workers' was appropriately modified by the use of the tosyl protective group on nitrogenS8 The tritosyl compound 2 was obtained in GO-707, yields by tosylation of 1 in pyridine or mixtures of pyridine and halogenated solvents. Conversion to the bisthiolacetate 3 and to tho K-tosyldithiol 4 also proceeded in high yield.
