Abstract

A one-pot procedure for the phosphorylation of alcohols provides the corresponding phosphate monoesters in improved yields. The protocol features the use of tetrabutylammonium hydrogen phosphate and trichloroacetonitrile, followed by purification of the crude product by flash chromatography on silica gel.
