Abstract

Iodine-induced rearrangement of the" ate" complex derived from diisopinocampheylalkylborane and various lithium acetylides furnishes optically active disubstituted alkynes with an enantiomeric excess comparable to that of the diisopinocampheylborane used in the initial asymmetric hydroboration.
