Abstract
Mitomycin C (1), 1, 2 an antineoplastic antibiotic isolated from fermentation broth of Streptomyces caespetosius, is currently used clinically in combination cancer chemotherapy against a wide variety solid tum01-s.~ Analogue research targeted toward more efficacious and less myelosuppressive derivatives has proceeded at a steady pace.
