Abstract

1, 4-Dihydroxy-Z-naphthoic A~ id.~-JVlien this c~ Jlr~ p~ Jlilld I\ as inade according to the procedure of Homeyer and\?'allingford, 7: I red oil was often obtained in the preparation of the intermediate compound, diethyl 1, 4-dihg-droxy-2, 3-naphthalate.
