Abstract

As far as we are aware no statement has appeared in the literature relative to the effectiveness of arsonium compounds as therapeutic agents. This subject deserves attention, especially because of the introduction of the quaternary nitrogen antiseptic~ ephiran.~ Preliminary tests4 indicated that tetraphenylarsonium chloride is of little value as a germicide.
