Abstract

Three-component reactions of aldehydes, ammonia, and allylboronates were found to provide homoallylic primary amines in high yields with high chemo-and stereoselectivities. A two-step, one-pot, stereoselective synthesis of an uncommon α-amino acid, alloisoleucine, was achieved utilizing this reaction.
