Abstract

The 2-and 4-ethyldicyclohexylmethanes were prepared by the hydrogenation of the purified 2-and 4-ethyldiphenylmethanes. The 3-ethyldicyclohexylmethane was prepared by hydrogenation of the olefin mixture obtained by dehydration of the product from the Grignard reaction of% ethylcyclohexanone with benzylmagnesium chloride.
