Abstract

By the action of methyl iodide on p-nitrophenylazohydroxymethylamine a compound was formed to which he gave the structure NO&sH4NzN-(OCH3) CH3. It seemed probable that the same compound could also be prepared from p-nitrophenyldiazonium chloride and 0, N- dimethylhydroxylamine.
