Abstract

Discussion Few (perfluoroalky1)-benzenes other than trifluoromethylbenzene have been synthesized. In an attempt to synthesize l-heptafluoropropylbenzene, heptafluoro-1- iodopropane was treated with pheriylmagnesium bromide, phenyllithi~ m,~ phenylsodium and phenylcalcium iodide.
