Abstract

Several benzo-and/or naphtho-derivatives of triptycene were prepared in a manner of addition reaction of dehydronaphthalene (XIII) or a new type of aryne, dehydroanthraquinone (XVI) generated from 3-aminoanthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid (XV), with a few acenes.
