Abstract

The chemistry of these novel silicon-functional cobalt cluster complexes, especially of the silanols 10, 12, and 14, is under active investigation. Preliminary results indicate that these reactive substituents on silicon allow the incorporation of the methylidynetricobalt nonacarbonyl cluster into the side chains of various types of polymers, including polysiloxanes.
