Abstract

The use of an azcotropic procedure to prepare the benzyl and p-nitrobenayl esters of several amino acids is described Included are the p-nitrobenzyl esters of Ne-tosyl-klysine, NE-(p-nitrobeneyloxycarbony1)-klysine and khistidine, compounds of difficult accessibility utilizing previously published methods.
