Abstract
Paclitaxel (1; Taxol) and docetaxel (2; Taxotere) have emerged as two of the most effective antitumor agents in a variety of malignancies. 1-5 Acting via a similar mechanism of action, both these drugs bind to tubulin, leading to microtubule stabilization, mitotic arrest, and subsequent cell death.
