Abstract

The possibility that nitration gave the known isomer 47 instead was ruled out on the i) C&NO,, NH,, OAc, HOAc ii) HNO,, HOAc iii) 4, Pd (OH) & THF-HOAc basis of comparative melting point and proton NMR data.
