Abstract
The indole nucleus is a privileged scaffold that is highly prevalent in natural and synthetic compounds of medicinal interest.[1] It is found in many clinical therapeutic agents (eg, indomethacin, indorenate and indoramin) and endogenous biologically active substances (eg, serotonin, melatonin, tryptophan and brassinin).
