Abstract

The addition reactions of α-ferrocenylcarbenes (ferrocenyl, ferrocenylmethyl, and ferrocenylphenyl carbene) to 1, 1-diphenylethylene have been examined by means of the thermal decomposition of the corresponding acylferrocene tosylhydrazone sodium salts. Then, the reactivities of the ferrocenylcarbenes have been compared with those of the corresponding phenyl and p-anisylcarbenes. It has been found that, of the carbenes ...
