Abstract

Conclusions The reaction of Hg 6 (3P1) atoms with cyclopentane bears great resemblance to the reactions of Hg 6 ('P1) atoms with the lower paraffins"@(with the exception of methane and neopentane). It differs markedly from those of the olefins which have been investigated to date in that cyclopentane shows no evidence of reacting via an excited molecule.
