Abstract

(R)-DAVA(SI-DAVA sa 6 ba:(R); b:(S) aldehyde (GSA) aminotransferase (EC 5.4. 3.8): an intermolecular transamination occurs between two molecules of GSA? This aminotransferase is unusual since no amino donor or acceptor in addition to GSA is required, a circumstance related to the fact that GSA carries an oxo and an amino group on adjacent carbons.
